    1. Resume or CV (1-2 pages)
    2. Unofficial transcript (1 page)
    3. Statement of Interest (up to 2 pages, 1-inch margin, 12 pt fonts, single-spaced; see prompts below)

Statement of Interest

The statement should not be longer than 2 pages. Please use at least 1-inch margin, 12 pt fonts, single-spaced.

Please address the following prompts. You may organize your response in sections or integrate them into a cohesive narrative. You may use AI tools to help with editing, clarity, and organization; however, the substantive thinking and reflection in response to these prompts must be your own.

  • [Motivation] Why are you interested in the aiX Convergence Design Studio internship?
  • [Prior AI experience] Describe one or more projects (course-based, research, work, or creative) in which you used AI or generative AI tools. How did you decide which tools to use, how to use them, and when not to use them? What did you learn about the strengths and limitations of AI from these experiences?
  • [Prior educational support experience] Describe any experience you have supporting teaching or learning (e.g., TA roles, peer mentoring, tutoring, workshop facilitation, curriculum development).
  • [Future path] What do you hope to do after graduation? How do you anticipate AI being part of your future career or professional practice? What responsibilities do you think humans retain, even as AI capabilities expand, in that domain?
  • [Reflection on AI use] Choose one or more of the following.
    • Describe one concrete tip you would give to someone who is new to AI and wants to begin using it productively.
    • What do you think is the most important technical human skill for using AI effectively, and why?
    • What do you think is the most important non-technical human skill for using AI effectively, and why?

Selection Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on:

  • Depth and thoughtfulness of AI experience (not just tool familiarity)
  • Ability to reflect critically on AI use
  • Interest in education and curriculum design
  • Clarity of communication and reasoning
